What is Lobby?

EY Lobby is an internal hotel review tool designed for Business Travelers. It is an easy way to find the best hotel alternatives within your company's portfolio and select the one that matches both your personal preferences and your approved budget. Lobby is integrated with other immigration tools to asses paperwork if needed, and it also includes a social media network to connect with your fellow coworkers.

The project's goal was creating an MVP for an existing client so we could stop using a third party solution that was not satisfying their needs. It would be mainly focus on the following features:

    • Search Engine

    • Traveler Profile

    • Hotel Details

    • Surveys

LEARNINGS & ACHIEVEMENTS

• Starting a UX Project from the ground-up

• Leading as a UX solo.

• UX Design for B2B

• Effective Communication.

Empathize

• DISCOVERY INTERVIEWS: We interviewed stakeholders to deeply understand the problem statement and the scope of the project.

• COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS: We compared and contrast what other tools were offering in order to first identify our value proposition, and focus on that for the MVP.

• USER ROLES: The project was defined for 3 main user types that we called Business Traveler, Client Travel Manager and Product Admin.

• DESIGN THINKING SESSIONS. Wireframes & Sketches: All the team participated on initial sketching sessions. These sessions were particularly useful for defining user roles rights, and edge cases.

Design

• HI-FI MOCK-UPs & PROTOTYPE: We created hi-fi mocks for all the app, and created an interactive prototype to share with our main clients based on a happy path.

Test and Iterate

• INTERNAL USABILITY TESTING: We were not able to test the product with real users for this project. Therefore, in order to obtain feedback that could help us improve the design proposal, we conducted internal testing with other UX colleagues.

The learning was outstanding. It was much better including internal testing in the process than not having any testing at all.
